Blokur selected to participate in The MLC’s Supplemental Matching Network

Blokur, the music licensing and data platform, has been chosen by the Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC) to participate in its Supplemental Matching Network.

Blokur was selected by The MLC following an assessment that included both qualitative and quantitative evaluations. The services offered by the network will supplement The MLC’s existing internal capabilities, as well as the services already being provided by The MLC’s existing vendors.

Phil Barry, Founder and CEO at Blokur, commented:

“Blokur’s mission is to work towards a better future for creators online. We are thrilled to be working with The MLC to help drive incremental royalty distributions to songwriters and publishers in the biggest digital music market in the world.”

Andrew Mitchell, Head of Analytics & Automation at The MLC, said:

“We conducted an extensive due diligence process to select the initial set of vendors for our Supplemental Matching Network. This reflects our ongoing commitment to evolve in innovative ways to best achieve The MLC’s mission.”
